OREGON STATE FAIR
The Oregon State Fair is held every year in August–September at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem. The fair has been organized almost every year since 1862, showcasing Oregon crops and livestock, and also arts and food. It has many food stands and vendors as well as competitions, racing and concerts.
BON-ODORI SUMMER FESTIVAL
A highlight of summer festivals in Japan is the Bon-Odori Summer Festival. Each region in Japan has their own version of the dance, as well as different music. In Japanese Buddhist tradition, dancing is a way to welcome the spirits of our ancestors and celebrate life. Dancers circle the yagura, a high wooden bandstand for the musicians and singers. Come to learn the dance, see people dressed in yukata, and to hear and feel the sound of taiko drums.

HAYDAY!
HAYDAY! is a coastal celebration of Oregon Beer on the North end of beautiful Cannon Beach. Live music by Nervous Jenny, and fantastic eats from the Public Coast Culinary team. The event will feature 40 Oregon craft brews – including selections from coastal breweries and beyond – as a celebration of another incredible year in Oregon beer.
