In Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest Real Estate and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Real Estate Professionals offices throughout Oregon and Washington we supported the communities we serve by giving back through a wide range of activities on our annual day of service.
These are a few ways we helped our neighbors:
- Volunteered at several local food banks
- Provided household items for low-income seniors living independently
- Worked in a community garden & greenhouse
- Prepared and delivered Welcome Boxes for children in foster care
- Participated in a beach cleanup
- Painted, cleaned, and organized donations at a women’s shelter
- Spruced up landscaping at senior centers, service organizations, and group homes
- Prepared meals for houseless individuals
- Sorted donations and assembled comfort packages for children in foster care
- Gave love, baths, walks, and the gift of clean kennels to pups awaiting adoption
In addition to our local initiatives, we also garnered support for The Sunshine Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing positive group activities and emotional support for children with cancer. The global Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network has embraced the Sunshine Kids as its national charitable benefactor.
