RAINIER BEER FESTIVAL
R Day is a “community celebration of music, art, and beer in the heart of Georgetown” for age 21+ with a DJ and live music outside Star Brass Works Lounge, 5813 Airport Way S in Seattle. Note that Airport Way South may be closed to cars (from 13th Ave. S. to Corson Ave. S.). News article.


LANTERN FESTIVAL
See light installations, watch performers, and visit the night market during Arts-A-Glow in the area surrounding Town Square Park, 480 SW 152nd St. in Burien. Costumes and battery powered lanterns are welcome.


DOG DAY
Bark by the Bay is “full of dog activities and games, an art project, treat hunting, vendors, and food trucks” with adoptions, training demos, and off-leash zones for $10 per vehicle at Chambers Creek Regional Park, 6320 Grandview Drive W in University Place.


TOUR MODERN HOMES
Seattle Modern Home Tour is a drive-yourself visit of six modern homes, with an opportunity to meet the architects, designers, and builders, for age 10+. Carried infants OK. Adults $56, children $24.


ART OPEN HOUSE
Fall Open House has live art demonstrations by teaching artists, art-making for kids, music, food trucks, and a beer garden at Pratt Fine Arts Center, 1902 South Main St. in Seattle. The nearby Jackson Street Jazz Festival has 2 outdoor stages (free) and 10 indoor venues (not free).


VINTAGE THRIFT MARKET
Buy vintage clothing and retro collectibles from 100 small vendors at Thriftcon in Seattle Convention Center Summit, 900 Pine St. in Seattle. Admission $22 (or $40 the first hour).


LEGO BUILDING CONVENTION
View thousands of models created by adult hobbyists, and visit LEGO vendors at BrickCon Public Exhibition at Meydenbauer Center, 11000 NE 6th St. in Bellevue. Children age 4 and younger are free.


ADVENTURE RACE
Seattle Urban-X is a sport-themed scavenger hunt beginning at Occidental Hall, 589 Occidental Ave. S in Seattle. Visit iconic landmarks, solve creative challenges, and complete photo missions on your smartphone. Two-person team $100; three or four $160.


FLOATING LANTERNS, SOUTH OF TACOMA
Shop from food trucks, decorate a lantern to release on the lake, and hear live music during Light the Lake at Spanaway Park, 14905 Bresemann Blvd. S in Spanaway.


SALMON CELEBRATION
Watch salmon swim back to their birthplace during Salmon on Sunset Celebration. Hear live music, visit a beer garden, shop at food trucks, feed trout, race rubber ducks (hourly 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and make family arts & crafts at Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, 125 W Sunset Way in Issaquah.
