TURKEY TROT
THURS – The Turkeython is a 5K hosted in Hillsboro, Cook Park in Tigard, and Downtown Portland.   

OREGON ZOO TURKEY TROT
THURS – Head to the Oregon Zoo for the one-third mile kid run or four-mile family event. Dress up in costume to add to the family fun.

TOFURKEY TROT
THURS – Join other vegetarians at Oaks Park for a meatless celebratory 5K run.

GIVE N’ GOBBLE
THURS – Sherwood High School hosts a food drive, a 5K run/walk and a 10K run the morning of Thanksgiving.

WINE COUNTRY OPEN HOUSE
THROUGH SUN  Willamette Valley Wineries host special offers this weekend, head out to the vineyard to enjoy some of the best wines in the valley.    

WWII EXPERIENCES
ONGOING – The Oregon Historical Society hosts the stories of African American experiences serving in World War II. Thousands of African Americans rushed to enlist with the intention of serving the nation that rated them as second-class citizens. They were determined to fight to preserve the freedom that they themselves have been denied. This is their story.

HOLIDAY CONCERT
THROUGH DEC 1 – Portland’s Singing Christmas Tree hosts a 300 voice choir with holiday songs, dancers, and a nativity scene at Keller Auditorium.   

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
THROUGH DEC 8 – America’s largest Christmas themed Bazaar hosts over 400 booths of handcrafted items and over 500 commercial holiday product booths. 

THE CHRISTMAS TRAIN
THROUGH DEC 29 – Take a scenic train ride along the Columbia River to Christmas Town. Visit with Santa and his elves while enjoying cookies and hot cocoa.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TRAIL
THROUGH DEC 31 – Maddax Woods in West Linn offers a well-lit path of holiday lights in the woods. Search for 50 animal sculptures on a self-guided walk through a lighted wonderland.

A PITTOCK MANSION CHRISTMAS
THROUGH JAN 5 – Take a stroll back in time at the Pittock family mansion while viewing professionally decorated rooms designed for the holidays.

VANCOUVER METRO EVENTS 

TURKEY TROT
SAT – Wake up Thanksgiving morning and head out to the Clark County Turkey Trot, a fundraiser for the Food Bank.  The Trot features a 5K run/walk and a 10K run.     

TREE LIGHTING
FRI – The Community Tree Lighting in Downton Vancouver beings at 4pm.

LIVE MUSIC
ONGOING –  The Hot Club of Hawthorne Jazz nights invites you to Maryhill Winery in Vancouver to enjoy early jazz genre of music.
