The haunted house at Springfield History Museum makes a return this year to take you through local history in the spookiest manner. The kid-friendly hours are 4 – 6 p.m., then at 6:30 p.m. the real frights begin for the older kids and adults. Recover after your journey through the haunted house with a photo station and free snacks!
HALLOWEEN LASER SPOOKTACULAR
Celebrate the spooky season with this sing-along Halloween Laser Spooktacular show at Eugene Science Center. It’ll include the popular Halloween hits like “Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters” and “Purple People Eater.” Bring the family for a spooky good time.
THE SNOW QUEEN
Eugene Ballet’s dazzling, crowd-pleasing revival of The Snow Queen, based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, opens the 2023/24 Season with Orchestra Next playing award-winning Portland composer Kenji Bunch’s score live at all performances. With dramatic costumes, sparkling sets, and Artistic Director Toni Pimble‘s exquisite choreography, The Snow Queen is “an audacious act of hope,” (Oregon Artswatch, April 2017) where the power of love melts even the coldest hearts.
HAUNTED MAZE
Come walk through a chilling, spooky Haunted Maze in a pet cemetery this Halloween season. Take a walk through the eerie woods over bridges and near ponds. Beware of creatures, human and nonhuman, waiting for you around the corner!
DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS EXHIBIT
The Maude Kerns Art Center will be displaying an exhibit celebrating Día De Los Muertos starting in October and going through early November. The exhibit will feature artwork by 29 artists, an artwork collaboration with Eugene Arte Latino showcasing Día de los Muertos photographs by five Mexican photographers, a Day of the Dead Gift Shop presented by Suzanne Algara of Buganvilla Imports, and community altars honoring loved ones who have died.
