CONDUCT THE EUGENE SYMPHONY
Ever wondered what it’s like to be on the conductor’s podium? Now’s your chance to take the baton and give it a whirl! On Saturday from 2:00-4:00 you can make music with a group of the Symphony musicians who await your direction. This free event at River Edge Public Plaza is part of the Willamette River Festival.
 

VIRTUAL PARENT-DAUGHTER GIRLCON
GirlCon is a conference dedicated to anime, fandoms, video games, art, and tech for girls in the Eugene area. With two guest speakers who work in the game developing field in Eugene, this is a great chance to find out more about what it means to work in the industry. GirlCon is a great opportunity to connect and build friendships with other girls interested in the same passions in the area. This virtual event this Saturday and Sunday is free. Register here.

 
REBELUTION – GOOD VIBES SUMMER TOUR
Dance the night away at the Cuthbert Amphitheater with this lively California-based reggae band. They are bringing some new music to Eugene with Steel Pulse, Kabaka Pyramid, and Keznamdi. Come and enjoy music rooted in Jamaican inspiration and experimental sounds that are sure to get you moving. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. 

 
FRIDAY NIGHT CONCERTS AT SILVAN RIDGE WINERY
Get your tickets and head to Silvan Ridge on Friday from 6:30-8:30 for outdoor music from The Honey Brown Band and food from Kico’s BBQ. This Friday’s event benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Tickets are $5 in advance to control capacity and doors open at 5:30.
 

DOUGLAS COUNTY HIGHLAND GAMES & CLAN GATHERING
The games have found a new location at Henry Estate Winery in Umpqua this year. Events include the Stone Throw, Hammer Toss, Weight for Distance, Weight over Bar, Sheaf, and Caber. Saturday and Sunday from 9:00-5:30. Admission is $11 per adult and $5 per child.
 

SUTHERLIN COUNTRY MUSIC CONCERT
Country music comes alive on Saturday with pre-opening act Neil Gregory Johnson, followed by The Jessie Leigh Band, and then the headliner, Temecula Road. Lawn chairs are allowed, and food and beverage vendors are on site. Tickets are $35.


BLUEGRASS AND BREWS
If you’re a fan of bluegrass, head to Kantu Brewing in Tenmile on Saturday from 3:00-5:00. Outdoor tables with canopies will be widely spaced, or you can bring your own chairs if you prefer. Wood fired pizza or a food truck will be available from 1:00-6:00.
