WATERFRONT PARK CHERRY BLOSSOMS
Since 1990, cherry blossom trees have graced the waterfront of Portland. The 100 trees are part of the Japanese American Historical Plaza that starts at the Burnside Bridge and extends north along the waterfront to the Steel Bridge. The backdrop of the Willamette River with a large expanse of green grass makes this spot magical. Go check it out for yourself!
TRILLIUM FESTIVAL
For 42 years, Tryon Creek has celebrated the return of the Trillium, an early season perennial native to our local forests. This beautiful white flower awakens each year in late February and early March, and slowly turns to a reddish-purple by the end of April or early May, making it a wonderful beginning to the spring wildflower season.
