SPRING WHALE WATCH WEEK
It’s Whale Watch Week along the Oregon Coast! In spring approximately 20,000 gray whales travel north to the cold waters of Alaska. Late March through June is the peak of the spring whale migration past Oregon. Spot gray whales and partake in whale watch counts along the Oregon Coast. Talk to knowledgeable volunteers at the Yachats State Recreation Area, Cape Perpetua and Heceta Head Lighthouse all week long from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Whales are an awesome sight to behold. Spring Whale Watch Week is part of the “Whale Watching Spoken Here” by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET
The Lane County Farmers Market is Eugene’s largest farmers market, providing locally grown foods from over 100 farmers and food artisans. The market is year-round, and all items are grown or produced in Oregon. The Saturday Farmers Market is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during February and March, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from April to December.
